Chicago’s longest running independent rock label founded in 1984 by Kenn Goodman - Pravda Records, is celebrating 40 years by bringing back their music festival -PravdaFest, to Fitzgerald's nightclub in Berwyn IL on Aug 31, 2024. The fest will start at noon with three stages and include legacy artists and current artists from the label’s diverse roster. 17 bands will perform throughout the day and evening on all three stages. In the summer of 2022, Pravda celebrated its 38th anniversary with PravdaFest, a two day music festival held at Sketchbook Brewery in Skokie, Illinois. PravdaFest was MC'd by Chicago podcaster James Van Osdol and saw performances by popular Pravda artists such as Josh Caterer and Steve Dawson, surprise reunion sets by The Service and The Slugs, and also debuted the limited edition lager, "Pravda 38", which was brewed specifically for the festival by Sketchbook Brewing.
